At Faith Landmarks, we offer ministries that allow you to grow in your relationship with God and with others. Each ministry has a specific focus for its function, and you can find real fulfillment in participating in any of outreach or fellowship ministries here. We want you to get involved in what God is doing at Faith Landmarks!
Take the first step in getting involved by completing a worker application! Below, you will find our three worker applications with an explanation of when to use each one.
The General Worker application is used for all departments that do not require a background check.
The Secure Worker application is needed to serve in: KidzTown, Youth Ministries, Nursing Home, Prison Ministry, Inside/Outside Security, Special Detail, and Pastoral Care.
The Bible states in I Thessalonians 5:12 that we must know those with whom we labor. In keeping with this scripture, the guidelines stated in I & II Timothy, VA state law, and insurance regulations, Faith Landmarks Ministries requires a full criminal background, and sex-offender check to work in the ministries listed above. We believe our applicants will understand the necessity of this process.
The Minor Worker Application is for youth to serve in any of the Helps Ministries
All applicants over the age of 16 must complete the BLUE (SECURE) application to work in any children’s ministry.
Connecting Young Adults to the vision of our church & building relationships.
The Young Adults of Faith Landmarks Ministries believe that building meaningful relationships with other like-minded young people are beneficial in their walk with God. They love to hang out and during those times, engage in conversations about real life, real experiences, and their real God. They walk together as children of light and welcome other young people to join them on that journey…and fun adventures!
This is the place for God’s man! Join our Men’s Fellowship for their various events throughout the year. Whether its a Fish Fry with Pastor Randy, or a baseball game, you can enjoy fellow shipping with your fellow brothers in Christ, and gain wisdom and strength through the teachings and events.

Did you know that FLM has a very active Recreation Ministry with programs available for everyone?
With the recent addition of Sue Manahan as our Recreation Director, the Recreation Ministry is gearing up for an active fall season! A wide variety of programs and classes are planned, including fitness classes, open use of the weight room, basketball for all ages, adult volleyball, youth dodgeball, and many others. Unless there is a required league fee, all these programs are free! The congregation is being asked to complete a survey to determine interest and best times that work for participation, so please completed the survey to share your input. Now is a great time to get involved in our new and improved Recreation Ministry.
Join us for one of our upcoming classes!
FLM’s Seniors Fellowship is a dynamic group that stays on the go! In addition to fun events like movies and day trips, the Seniors meet every Tuesday at 12:30pm for a Bible Study. Led by Lynnette Riddick and Frances Norman, the Bible Study is open to everyone, and serves as an outreach to the community. It is always a great time of fellowship, discussion, and digging in deeper into the Word!
Every marriage should have a strong social outlet. Become a part of our Marriage Covenant Partners Fellowship, and not only get to know other couples, but receive invaluable insight from Pastors Randy & Cherie, and leadership on keeping a marriage healthy and godly.
The Nursing Home Department is made up of a dedicated team of volunteers who are excited to share the love of Jesus. Ministering every week in over 30 nursing homes and facilities throughout the metro Richmond area, department workers conduct one-on-one ministry through room visitation, Bible Studies, and praise and worship.
If you are looking for an opportunity to teach the word of God and win souls to the Kingdom, the Nursing Home department is looking for you! This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships and touch the lives of people with the love of Christ. Many different time slots and locations are available to minister.
For more information, please contact Department Head Angela Blevins at email@example.com. You can also drop off an application at Info Central in the Narthex.
The Hispanic Outreach Department at FLM, “Alcanzando el Mundo Hispano”, exists because of God’s heart for the nations. God knows the needs of the Latino people in our Richmond area.
He loves them and we desire to see God’s power move among them by breaking down the strongholds in both the natural and spiritual worlds. That’s why our department offers two types of services. The first one is translation into Spanish of our 10:30am Sunday service. Spanish speaking people are welcomed to hear our Pastor’s message translated into Spanish through a radio receiver. The second service is our “Spanish for Outreach Classess” that take non-Spanish speaking people into an exciting journey to Evangelism in Spanish.
What is a Word of Knowledge?
A Word of Knowledge is when someone prays and receives information from God about someone who God wants you to minister to. The hunt is using this information “clues” to find the person.
The Word of Knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:7-10) is made availabe to us as a tool to draw people to salvation (1 Corinthians 14:24-25.)
You are partnering with the Holy Spirit; as He guides you, He also will guide them to you. This is a witness to the working of the Holy Spirit and the unfailing love that God has for each of us. What an honor it is to be used by God in such a powerful way! In Acts chapter 9, Ananias was used by the Holy Spirit to lead Saul (Paul) to faith in Jesus.
Can I be used by the Holy Spirit?
YES – Jesus left us with the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into all truth.
John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”
“Witnessing” is a way to exercise the gifts of the Spirit in our lives. These gifts of the Spirit are free to everyone in the Body of Christ. These “revelation gifts” are just some of the tools we have to complete our assignment of reaching the lost with the Gospel message. Join us on either of these upcoming training dates to learn how to be used by the Holy Spirit and His “revelation gifts” to reach the lost. Then go out with us on Fridays or Saturdays to put into practice what you have learned. Witnessing training dates are on the following Saturdays, 9am – 10am in Room 117: August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7, and December 5. Join us for witnessing at 10am!
FLM reaches out to the inner city of Richmond, Virginia through the Richmond Reach-Out ministry. You can find us with our bright yellow t-shirts, and warm smiles, welcoming all to come and receive freely of the love of God.
Richmond Reach Out has been an integral part of the FLM outreach vision since the mid 1990s. Richmond Reach Out rallies workers from the FLM membership and ministers to the community through weekend events.
These events are targeted to neighborhood in need, presenting the Gospel in new and exciting ways and meeting the natural needs through food, clothing, hair cuts, and the like. Often, these outreaches have led to continuing localized services and Bible studies.
Love Works is the name of FLM’s outreach to the community. Based on I Cor 13:8 and the knowledge that “love never fails,” the mission of Love Works is to demonstrate the love of Jesus through tangible, hands-on efforts.
Since 2010, Love Works has been actively involved in public schools in metro Richmond. Love Works currently partners with five local elementary, middle and high schools. Trained volunteers are placed in the schools to serve as mentors, Reading Buddies, Lunch Buddies, and tutors. Faculty and staff are supported through appreciation and other events.
Love Works training sessions are offered throughout the year. For more information, please contact Lisa Isbell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reaching and Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. That is what FLM World Missions is all about.
We want to empower every individual and family to serve at FLM through our World Missions program. Each year a variety of overseas missions take place from our large outdoor crusades to our youth-led missions outreaches and humanitarian efforts.
Every year, Pastor Randy takes a team of FLM members overseas to minister in an overseas crusade. The team is responsible for handing out flyers to advertise the crusade meetings. They also intercede for the meetings and hold daily meetings to strategize for each night of crusade.
At the crusade, everyone who comes experiences a world-class music concert by local artists. The artists that are used for these crusades usually charge for entry, but FLM waives the ticket fee so that the locals are able to enjoy music that they would not normally be able to see and hear.
Then Pastor Randy delivers the salvation message. By the end of each crusade night, almost the entire field makes the decision to make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.
Stay tuned for upcoming missions trips that you can be involved in that make an eternal impact, and secures an eternal harvest in the Kingdom of God.
Youth-Led Missions & Humanitarian
Each summer, FLM’s Solid Rock Youth and Young Adults Ministry take a team of young teenagers and adults overseas to work with a missionary or established ministry to bring relief aide to families and orphaned children, and to hold outdoor dramas and meetings for the community and church body.
FLM’s Prison Ministry is an active and effective ministry to incarcerated men, women, and juveniles through central Virginia. Thirteen different teams minister in ten different facilities each week, visiting six nights per week (not on Wednesday). Using every open door they have, the department ministers in a variety of ways; everything from Bible studies, small groups, and Chapel services, to exercise and praise dance classes. Department workers also assist inmates in their transition back to society by teaching hands-on-computer and employment classes, helping them complete job applications online, teaching interviewing skills, and parenting classes.
Additional workers are always needed in the department, not just to minister the gospel but to assist with music, dance, drama, or to be paired with the teachers. Workers must by 18 or older to participate and complete an FLM worker application. In addition, application must be made to the individual facility where the worker will be assigned, and process which can take several months to receive approval. Workers who can submit to multiple tiers of authority, follow instructions, work in a team and be patient and flexible are always welcome.
For more information, please contact Department Head Tasha King at email@example.com.
