SUCCESS

Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb. Passover began when the nation of Israel was in bondage in Egypt. They were still slaves – held captive against their will.

Pharoah refused to set Israel free. God used the night of Passover for a means of deliverance. God also used Jesus’ death at

Calvary as a means of deliverance for us and the whole world. Jesus is the Lamb of God. God delivered us though Jesus’ sacrifice.

Jesus became sin for us.

Death “passed over” Egypt that night because of the blood of their lambs over their doorposts.

Because of the Blood of our Lamb, death has passed over us. Israel awakened the next morning and found themselves free! We are now alive unto God and have walked away from the control of sin. We have made it a practice to thank Jesus at Easter for His sacrifice by bringing a special gift to Him.

In 1 Corinthians 5:7-8, this is called ‘observing the feast.’

As a church body, we now make a special observance and bring a special offering to Him. Israel was told to leave bondage with haste, and to put on their travelling clothes and eat only unleavened bread.

We must also leave bondage with haste. We no longer dwell in the sin of our past. We now walk in the newness of life!

He brought them forth with silver and with gold, and there was not one feeble among their tribes. Psalms 105:37

We look forward to seeing you on Easter morning as we bring our best gift to the Lord, and celebrate our freedom from sin!
